Help us examine how support in close relationships helps individuals to live with arthritis. The CARE Study is a research study for married women with rheumatoid arthritis and their husbands.
We hope to understand how couples can together “make sense” of living with rheumatoid arthritis. In this study, couples will be asked to complete three sets of mailed surveys. We need to understand couples’ beliefs about arthritis so we can increase the understanding of social support. Those completing the study will receive $50 for their participation.
To Find Out More: Please call us at 919-966-0561 or toll free at 1-866-827-2862 if you would like more information about the CARE Study. You may also email us at Katie_Sterba@unc.edu. Your participation will help us better understand how partners in close relationships cope with arthritis. You are the expert about your arthritis (and about your relationship)!
The study is funded by the national Arthritis Foundation.
